Nelson Mandela Bay plays host to the 3rd Nelson Mandela Bay Surf Ski Classic on Easter Friday 2011.

This international surf ski race will launch the water sport program of the 2011 Nelson Mandela Bay Splash Festival. The race will be a 26km race starting and finishing at Hobie Beach.

The direction of the course for the event will be determined by the prevailing weather conditions on the day to try see if we can get the bulk of the race done with the following wind.

Normal Entries close on Monday 18th April - An entry fee of ONLY R75 per paddler is being charged. A double late entry fee will apply after the 18th.

Prize money of over R30,000 is up for grabs as per the prize template.

Africa's largest Easter beach festival takes place at Hobie Beach Port Elizabeth from Friday 22nd April through to Monday 25th April 2011.
